Content & Development
The Clearinghouse database includes references to printed articles, books, reports, policies, and statistics. It also includes some documents in PDF format as well as links to reports, policies, and other items found only online.
The initial database consists of nearly 1,000 items and was created to include:
- reports and articles dated from 2000 onward
- selected academic work-related policies from individual institutions
- reports from higher education institutions; policy, advocacy or professional associations; think tanks and research centers
- statistical and demographic reports
- first person narratives from individuals and institutions.
Searches of major online databases (such as ERIC, Sociological Abstracts, EconLit, ProQuest), literature reviews, and contributed references were used to develop the initial database. Materials were screened for relevant content but were not evaluated by Clearinghouse staff.
